The Museum is more than a memorial – it is a living classroom.
It is where Holocaust survivors, historians and educators inspire the next generation with lessons of resilience, justice and moral courage. State syllabus changes now require Holocaust Studies to be taught to all students in Years 7-10. These changes ensure that all high school students in NSW will have syllabus-related reasons to visit the Museum.
The expanded Museum will be able to attract primary school students to attend our new educational programs, in line with the NSW Syllabus requirements on topics like migration, Jewish culture and tradition.
Our professional development programs help shape Australia’s leaders. These evidence-based workshops drawing on the Jewish experience have had significant impact on workplace issues of antisemitism, inclusion and empathy. Expanding these programs will increase the number of Australian business, civic and government leaders who can participate.
