5000 years of Jewish culture. Over 200 years of Jewish life in Australia.

The new Centre for Contemporary Jewish Life will add a vibrant dimension to the Museum. It will showcase our ancient culture and our diverse contemporary life through interactive exhibitions that celebrate our faith, story, identity and contribution.

The Identity Gallery will demystify the Jewish experience and give thousands of our non-Jewish visitors the opportunity to learn more about us.

The Gallery will also shine a light on our deep connection to Israel as the ancestral home of the Jewish people and its centrality in prayer and ritual. Exhibitions and events will attract more new and returning visitors of all ages.
